Not everyone has a happy childhood. Even in homes where there is lots of love, there can be circumstances that cause trauma to children. Sometimes it’s not even what an adult would consider a ‘big deal’.

A child makes a silly mistake in math at school that motivates the other kids to make fun of him/her. The next thing that child knows, classmates are saying, “Hey dummy!” in the hallways and restrooms, and whispering behind their hands. To a child, that is traumatic.

For a variety of reasons…shame, embarrassment, pride, anger…that child doesn’t confide in anyone about what happened. They have to get through the school day, though, so in order to be able to do that, they stuff that memory down in a place where they don’t have to think about it.

The incident is soon ‘forgotten’ and the child moves on.

Fast forward to the present day. That child of the past is now an adult of 30, 40 or 50. They’re living their life in the best way that they know how to, and while life is generally good, when it comes time to balance the checkbook or do the taxes, there is always a vague feeling of worry and distress. Says that adult to a family member, “I really don’t like math.” “Why?” is the response, but the math hater doesn’t have an answer to that question.

That’s because of the memory that they so carefully tucked away all those years before, in order to make going to school bearable. They no longer have a conscious memory of what happened, but the memory is there, embedded in their subconscious.

The chances are that they can try to figure out why they hate math until the cows come home, and never retrieve that memory. It’s not accessable to them, and hasn’t been for a long time.

This where the wonder of EFT comes into play. With EFT, you can not only retrieve the memory, you can tap on the memory until there is no longer any emotional intensity attached to it. Through EFT, the math hater becomes comfortable with the feared and dreaded math.

We all have a subconscious FULL of these kinds of memories. Our subconscious is like a warehouse, storing the memory of everything that ever happened to us.

Why not use a tool that can open the warehouse and help you to clear it out? EFT is the perfect tool for doing that. Easy to learn, easy to use, amazingly effective…if you don’t already know about EFT, learn about it. It can change your life.
